We can accommodate one class per visit on each day. If you wish to use our resources for your visit we would recommend visiting for a full day. You can select you activities from our list. Full day visits could include between 2 and four activities which leaves time for snack breaks and a lunch break. If you would like a self guided visit the gardens are available to you in half days or full days. Please contact us to discuss your requirements and pricing.

We recommend that you undertake a pre-trip visit to familiarise yourself with the grounds and what is on offer here at Narborough Hall. This pre-trip visit is free of charge.

Our programmes of study are designed to be teacher led but our Education Officer is on site and available to you throughout your visit. Our current activities are designed for Reception – Year 2 pupils. Key stage 2 materials are under development.

We recommend an adult to child ratio of 1:4 for pre school children, 1:5 for Reception children and 1:6 for Years 1 and 2.

It is the school's responsibility to ensure the behaviour and safety of pupils at all times. We ask that you respect the gardens and plots at all times. We are open to the public on visit days and ask that you ensure pupils enable other visitors to enjoy Narborough Hall Gardens too.

We have conducted our own risk assessment of the gardens but ask that schools conduct their own prior to their visit.

The activities are based outdoors and so we ask that pupils wear footwear and clothing appropriate to the weather and seasons. Sun cream and sunhats should be worn during the summer months. Long trousers are advisable throughout the year.

Schools should ensure that an appointed first aider accompanies pupils on the trip. Narborough Hall cannot guarantee the presence of a trained first aider at all times. Schools are advised to have their own first aid box. First aid boxes can be found at Narborough Hall in the gardener’s office in the courtyard. The fire assembly point is the Car Park This is where all visitors to the gardens should assemble in the event of the fire alarm sounding.

Schools will need to bring their own resources required to complete the activities. Resource sheets will be emailed or posted to schools prior to visit days and should be photocopied for your use. You will need to bring additional materials such as paper, pens, pencils, glue etc, as appropriate to the activities selected.

We are covered by public liability insurance.
